Blogging is an online business for which a lot of people try their luck to make some money. But the truth is, only a few people make a full-time source of income from it. In my opinion, blogging is one of a very difficult field to succeed, until you are not aware of things. A lot of people choose this field because they think that they will earn huge money from it, in very less time and with less effort. So, they just do whatever they want which ends up as a failure.

1. Prior niche Research
I have seen many bloggers who start blogging without any prior niche research. This is one of a big mistake, which a lot of bloggers do. This consumes a lot of their time and at the end they understand that they should have started it with some niche. So, the first and basic step you should do is, a niche research. One should research on keywords and niche on which they can blog. You must do two things for niche selection.

You should find out on which keywords you want to work. You should have a prior list of main keywords.

You must check the competition, while selecting keywords. Also, you must check (S.E.R.P) of the keywords and competitor's strategies.
4. Domain Name selection
You must give importance to domain name selection. There are two ways you can choose the name of your domain. Brand name-If you are planning to make your blog as an authority blog then you must give a name of the blog as a brand, E.M.D (Exact match domain) -If you are working on few keywords then, you should choose the name of the domain same as a keyword. I recommend that you should start your blog only when you have made strategies and you have planned everything because I have seen many bloggers who start doing anything with no direction. They think, they will do everything very fast and will make huge money very soon. But this is not what it looks like. These bloggers do anything without any direction and end up with a failure. So, in my opinion, one should have a foolproof pre strategies and planning for starting a blog.
6. Consistency (Regular updates)
When you have done all the above steps. Now, it is time to go ahead and start blogging. But, publishing articles or updating your blog once in a while will not work. You have to be consistent in updating your blog on a daily basis because that is what Google and your readers love.

This is very important, blogging is nothing without sharing. You actually write articles so that people will come and read. But if you don't have people to read your articles then there is no use. So sharing is very important. Today social media is playing a great role in internet. You must use its power for sharing your blog and articles. This will not only get some readers to your blog. Also, you will see good results in your (S.E.R.P) because Google loves to rank those pages or sites which are shared and liked by people in Social media sites.

Networking is very important. If you have noticed, all famous online bloggers are very good at networking and they understand its value because long-term networking is very important in a lot of aspects.
