Increase Your Blog Traffic in 1 hour a Day

One thing many bloggers desire is more traffic, they believe that the more traffic you have, the more successful you are. Whilst I don't always agree with this, I personally think targeted and relevant traffic is more important,I'll share with you some effective techniques to grow your blog's traffic. This of course means increasing traffic to your blog is now one of your priorities and you'll have to schedule in 60 minutes every day to complete the tasks I recommend. This is notas intimidating as it may seem at first. Buy the traffic. Look at Google AdWord campaigns and other forms of search engine marketing. You can create a pay per click (PPC) campaign and steerrelevant traffic back to your site. This method of increasing your blog traffic is usually the fastest and can be done in just 30 minutes, but PPC does have it's downsides. The only way to continually have a steady stream of traffic is to pay for it. No money = no traffic. This means it can be very expensive when you are just starting out and your blogging isn't generating much revenue. Not every visitor your PPC campaign sends is going to subscribe or take you up on your call to action. It can be very discouraging to have a tonne of visitors and very few of them subscribe to your blog. Also each PPC campaign needs monitoring, and 30 minutes a day is a big chunk of your 60 minutes. Luckily for us, there are free methods to increasing your blog traffic. The obvious and sometimes overlooked method is to have a posting schedule and keep it. I train blogging clients to spend their first month updating every single day, and then dropping down to 3 times a week. That first month of blogging daily gets them into excellent writing habits and givesthem a surge of traffic. Let's be honest here, you need to post at least once a week to be seen as an expert in your niche or industry. You need to read content, digest it's implications and create your own fresh perspective around that information, and then share it with your readers. Most of us work in industries thathave something going on on a regular basis. If you don't publishfrequently, what do your visitors think and where do they go after visiting you? They are getting their information somewhere, and it's not you. Create a regular posting schedule and benefit from increased traffic. You can spend your entire 60 minutes a day on just creating content if you wish. Be active in your community. Findblogs in the same field as you, and comment there. Remember, it's not just the publisher of the content that will read that comment, it's visible to all the other people that visit too. Try not sound like a spammer andsay things like "great article". Try to write a thoughtful comment that shows you have read the post, and if you disagree, do so ina charming and thoughtful manner. You do not have to leavea link in your comment to have people find you. When you submit your details, your name will link to your blog or website. People who like what you say willclick and see what you are all about. Source LinkedIn groups and start conversations. Get known by being active, offering support and leaving comments. Build yournetwork and feed in your contentas status updates. Comment and share other LinkedIn user's updates as well. Soon others will start doing this back. Spend 15 minutes a day doing this and you'll soon start to reap the benefits. Combine this with 15 minutes a day blog commenting and you'll be well on your way to more traffic. Look at the commenting system available on the blogs you comment on. Comment Luv is popular as a link from your blog post is added under your comment. Disqus and Livefyre also offer strong commenting systems, and it's worth getting profiles there in readiness for your commenting spree. Completeyour profiles with care when youcreate your accounts. People will click these and see who you are - make sure you sound interesting and include a call to action. Social sharing is a great way to boost traffic. You can also join sites like Triberr, and share great content from others. Of course they will share your great contenttoo (although there is no obligation to share anything you don't like). Social Buzz Club is another great community for social sharing as a group, although this is a membership site and has a small fee. These communities are worth spending 15 minutes on every day. And finally, you should investigate communities like StumbleUpon and Reddit. The StumbleUpon community is one of the most powerful communities online, and can easily send you a tonne of traffic. Some people say this traffic is useless, but if you submit good strong content and build a network of followers, the traffic will be very useful. StumbleUpon also offer a paid traffic option that maybe more beneficial than a PPC campaign. Reddit operates in a similar fashion. 15 minutes a day on either of these sites will help boost your blog traffic. Bonus tip - if you have another 15 minutes, spend that time commenting and interacting in forums. You'll get known for good advice and people will click through on your signature and see what / who you are about. This can be a bit more time consuming than the other methods I mention, but the pay off is greater. Find some niche forums and get known. You can grow your blog traffic in 60 minutes a day or less, just try out one of these tips and you'll start to increase your blog traffic
